What to know before you begin.

Do I need chiropractic care to receive acupuncture?

No. West Hollywood patients may schedule acupuncture independently. Chiropractic and acupuncture use separate appointment calendars.

What happens during the first acupuncture appointment?

The visit begins with a detailed discussion of your symptoms, history, activity, recovery, and goals. The proposed treatment is explained before care begins.

Is acupuncture only for pain?

No. It may be used for pain and orthopedic concerns as well as stress, sleep, recovery, and other functional patterns. Recommendations are individualized.

Does every patient receive herbal medicine?

No. Herbal medicine is considered separately and recommended only when appropriate for your presentation, history, and goals.
